Curve Lake First Nation and Trent Lakes Municipality Asking Residents to “Give an Hour for Earth”

In anticipation of Earth Hour on March 22, The Municipality of Trent Lakes and Curve Lake First Nation have joined together to share ways you can “Give an Hour for Earth”.

Earth Hour is on Saturday, March 22, from 8:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. A global initiative created by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in 2007 for individuals to switch off their lights to show symbolic support for the planet and to raise awareness of the environmental issues affecting it.

Trent Lakes Municipality and Curve Lake First Nation will be turning off their lights in support, and we hope you join us at home!

And this year, WWF is showing us that switching off the lights isn’t the only way to show the planet your love.

As part of this year’s theme, “Give an Hour for Earth”, both communities will be sharing inspiration on its social media channels over the next week on more ways you can help protect and restore our one shared home.
