End of Emergency Declaration - April 14, 2025
As of April 14, 2025, the Municipality of Trent Lakes has officially ended its Emergency Declaration due to the ice storm in March.
Since the declaration was made on April 1:
-
The majority of households in Trent Lakes have had hydro restored.
-
Safety hazards have been removed from roadways and properties.
-
Wellness checks have taken place.
-
Municipal buildings have resumed normal hours and operations.
“I am extremely proud of the efforts Municipal staff and volunteers have put in over the past two weeks as we dealt with this emergency,” says Mayor Terry Lambshead. “I would like to thank each and every one of them along with the hydro crews and businesses that worked diligently to bring restoration back to our area. I would be remiss to not mention the kind and selfless support community members have shown each other during this time when unity is needed most. Thank you.”
While the emergency declaration has ended, we recognize there are still some properties without hydro, and the cleanup of debris continues across the Municipality.
What will happen moving forward?
-
Public Works staff will continue to dispose of brush.
-
Residents may continue to dispose of brush at one of our designated drop off locations listed below.
