Load Restrictions in Effect

Load restrictions are in effect on all Municipal roads starting March 1 until May 1, 2024.
During load restrictions there is a maximum of five tonnes per axle. Vehicles exceeding the five tonne per axle load restriction must take alternate routes. Vehicles exceeding the maximum load size on a posted road will be subject to penalties described in the Highway Traffic Act.

The 2017 Buckhorn Community Improvement Plan (CIP) is a planning and economic development framework that includes financial incentive programs designed to stimulate private sector improvements and development in the Buckhorn Community Improvement Project Area. The Municipality of Trent Lakes has retained a consultant (RCI Consulting) to assist in the review and update of the Buckhorn CIP, and an update on this project was presented to Council on February 20, 2024.

The 2024 Interim Tax Bills have been mailed out. In the envelope you will find:
• Your tax bill.
• A waste pass for the transfer stations.
• And a 2-page newsletter including Municipal contact information, important dates and more.
The interim tax bill due dates are March 27, 2024 and May 27, 2024.
