Reduced load restrictions will be lifted from all municipal roads in Trent Lakes today, April 8, 2024.
Peterborough County also lifted load restrictions on county roads today.

Well Water Drop Off Program Resumes in Trent Lakes

Well water sampling drop off program resumes Tuesday, April 9 in the Township of North Kawartha and the Municipality of Trent Lakes. The program offers free sample collection kit pick-up and sample drop-off through these municipal offices.
Beginning Tuesday, April 9, 2024, water samples can be dropped off at,

No Daytime Burning 2024

Beginning April 1, there will be no daytime burning permitted (between the hours of 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.) until October 31, 2024.
If you are planning on having an open air burn in Trent Lakes, you must have a burn permit. A burn permit is free and is valid until December 31st of the year you obtained it. Learn more about burn permits here.
When do I need a burn permit?
You need a burn permit for the following types of fires:
- Brush fires
- Campfires
- Burn barrels
- Chimenea's and outdoor open air fireplaces
