Bridge Closure Notice: White Lake Road Bridge

Announcement by Parks Canada:
Parks Canada would like to advise the public that following a routine inspection, it has been determined that deck repairs are required at the White Lake Road Bridge located in the Municipality of Highlands East, connecting Salerno and White Lakes. The bridge will be closed starting on January 22, 2024, for approximately three weeks.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan alternate travel routes.

Starting January 1st, 2024, responsibility for blue box recycling collection and processing will transition from Peterborough County to producers of packaging and paper products.
Producer Responsibility means producers – the companies that design, create and market products and packaging – are fully responsible for managing and paying for the life cycle of their products and packaging.

Trent Lakes Christmas Hamper Fund Supports 20 Local Families

The annual Trent Lakes Christmas Hamper Fund was able to help 20 local families this year!
Organized by the Trent Lakes Outreach Centre Food Bank, members of the community donated items for families in need to 13 participating locations. The locations included:
