Entrance Permits

You need to apply for an entrance permit when adding a new entrance to your property from a Municipal road. This includes widening or renovating an existing entrance. Within the Municipality of Trent Lakes there are three types of roads:

• Municipal roads
• County roads 
• Fire Routes

We only accept entrance permits for Municipal roads. 

Apply for an entrance permit

Please complete the Entrance Permit Application and refer to the guidelines as outlined in Policy AD-30. Please submit your application by email or drop it off to the Municipal Office located at 760 County Road 36.

Fees

It costs $100 to apply for an entrance permit. You'll also need to pay a $750 deposit. We will return the deposit once a final inspection has been conducted and approved.

Entrance permits for County roads

All County roads will require an entrance permit from the County of Peterborough, Infrastructure Services department.
