TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Trent Lakes has passed municipal-wide Development Charges By-law No. B2024-025, B2024-026, B2024-027 and B2024-028 on the 2nd day of April, 2024 under section 2 (1) of the Development Charges Act, 1997, S.O. 1997 c. 27, as amended;
AND FURTHER, TAKE NOTICE that any person or organization may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) under section 14 of the Act, in respect of the development charges by-law, by filing with the Clerk of the Municipality of Trent Lakes on or before the 12th day of May, 2024 a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the by-law and the reasons supporting the objection.
The schedule of development charges imposed by the above noted by-laws, which came into effect on April 2, 2024, is as follows:
The Development Charges shown above are being phased-in, as required in the Development Charges Act. April 2, 2024 – April 2, 2025, 80% of the Total Municipal Wide Services to be collected, except for Non-Aggregate Developments which is below 80% of the Non-Residential Charge. Annual indexing will occur on April 2nd of each year.
No key map has been provided as the by-law applies to all lands located within the Municipality of Trent Lakes.
A copy of the complete by-laws is available for examination at the Municipality of Trent Lakes municipal office during regular office hours.
