PPH Takes Action Against Radon

Peterborough Public Health (PPH) is offering workshops across the region throughout the month of November to share knowledge about radon and suggest ways people can mitigate radon exposure in their homes. Workshops will be held:

Wednesday, November 13, 7:00 p.m. – North Kawartha Community Centre

Monday, November 18, 7:00 p.m. – Trent Lakes, Lakehurst Hall
259 Lakehurst Circle Rd, Lakehurst, ON K0L 1J0

Monday, November 25, 7:00 p.m. – Lakefield, Marshlands Centre
64 Hague Blvd, Lakefield, ON K0L 2H0

Wednesday, November 27, 7:00 p.m. – Peterborough Public Health
Second Floor Multi-purpose Rooms
185 King St., Peterborough Ontario, K9J 2R8

A closed session is also being held at Curve Lake First Nation for Members

NOTE: The first 20 households at each session who agree to be a part of the research study will receive a free radon test kit. The study consists of answering a brief questionnaire about the age and type of house you live in and sharing radon test results with the researchers.
