Residents Advised of Potential COVID-19 Omicron Exposure at American Eagle Store in Peterborough

Symptomatic Patrons Asked to Get PCR Tested and Self-Isolate

Peterborough Public Health is advising patrons of the American Eagle store in Lansdowne Place Mall in Peterborough of a potential exposure to the Omicron variant of COVID-19 that occurred there from Friday, December 10 to Saturday, December 11 between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. both days.

Peterborough Public Health is asking anyone who visited this store during these times to monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days from the date of exposure. If symptoms develop, get a PCR test immediately and isolate until you have received your results. COVID-19 Symptom List

• Fever or chills
• Cough or shortness of breath
• Muscle aches, joint pain and tiredness
• Difficulty breathing
• Sore throat or difficulty swallowing
• Headache
• Runny nose or stuffy (congested) nose
• New loss of taste or smell
• Gastrointestinal symptoms (e.g., nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea)

All high-risk contacts have already been identified and will receive further instruction from Peterborough Public Health.
