The Municipality of Trent Lakes Declares Significant Weather Event

Attention residents: The Municipality of Trent Lakes has declared a significant weather event.

"A significant weather event is when a hazard is approaching or occurring and has the potential to pose a significant danger to users of highways in which they have authority over”. - Regulation 239/02 of the Municipal Act 2001.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. We encourage residents to avoid all non-essential travel during this snow storm.

Visibility will be reduced - slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.

Be prepared. Individuals and families should have an emergency kit with enough supplies for at least 72 hours.
